With the men of Drvenik away defending town of Sinj against Ottoman invaders, the fortress was defended by the women of Drvenik.

They fought brave and strong, becoming a symbol of resilience.

The Ottomans may have conquered the fortress, but the legacy of Drvenik's women lives on.

Today, the fortress remains not only offer breathtaking views but serve as amazing reminder of the sacrifices made by these extraordinary and brave women.
