Tradicija Kirgin, the oldest pastry shop in Split and one of the town’s longest-running artisan shops, has been a family tradition since 1937.
Located in the heart of the old town Split, this small shop specializes in classic Dalmatian pastries, all handmade nightly without preservatives or additives.
Popular items include their unique cinnamon roll, known locally as Danac (Danish), as well as strudel and sirnica, a sweet bread loaf traditionally enjoyed at Easter to mark the end of Lent.
While their pastries are the main attraction, Tradicija Kirgin also makes some of the best ice cream in Split. Many locals believe that only the shop’s own pastries can rival their ice cream.
When exploring Diocletian’s Palace, be sure to stop by and enjoy the classic flavors in Tradicija Kirigin shop.
